Chloe Straub

Chloe Straub

Chloe Straub (instructor) — Starting her ballet training from the age of 5 at a local studio in Eugene, Chloe became drawn to all things dance. In eighth grade, her home studio closed, and Chloe found a new home at Eugene Ballet Academy, where she trained for more than 5 years, graduating from the pre-professional program as a senior in 2021. Chloe also found a passion for hip hop and lyrical at Unity School of Dance, home to Kings Krew and Evolve Dance Company. Chloe still dances and teaches for the school. Immense opportunities with dance have been given to Chloe, such as attending a 4-week ballet summer intensive at the age of 12 in Anaheim, California, performing at Disneyland several times, attending elite dance conventions with recognition from world-renowned teachers, and training competitively on a team and as a soloist.

However, in this season, her biggest dream is to use the opportunity God has given her with dance to teach and change lives through movement and the revelation of God’s love. While attending the University of Oregon as a full-time student, Chloe manages her life in a way that balances school, work, church, family, caring for her horses with volunteering through her mom’s non-profit ministry, and dance. She looks forward to exploring the world of teaching in a new environment and is so thankful to be a part of the JCSD team!
