Chiloh Straub (junior instructor): Chiloh’s dance foundation began at 3 years old under the careful development of Michele Major and Ballet Northwest Academy. Joining the pre-professional program at only 6, Chiloh continued her training in ballet, musical theater, tap, jazz and classical repertoire, performing throughout the region in numerous productions.

In 2016 Chiloh was accepted to Eugene Ballet Academy’s pre-professional program as an upper division student. Training 20 hours a week as a full-time academy student, she trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary. In addition to academy classes, Chiloh received the benefit of being trained privately by the Acadamy Director Sarah Lombardi, as well as Vivien Farrell and Sarah Pecht.  During her time at EBA, Chiloh performed as a member of EBA’s prestigious and award-winning Eugene Youth Ballet Senior Competition Team and Eugene Youth Ballet Performing Company.  Earning high honors in regional competitions both with her company and as a soloist, she also received summer intensive invitations and scholarships to train throughout the nation. Dancing for EBA in highly honored roles such as “Snow Queen” from the Nutcracker to the numerous opportunities to perform with the professional Eugene Ballet Company, Chiloh continued her training at EBA until graduating in 2023, concluding her studies within EBA’s highest levels.  

In 2019, while still training at EBA, Chiloh branched out to Eileen King at Unity School of Dance, where she danced with Evolve Dance Company. Chiloh earned numerous titles, awards, and scholarships as well as invitations to perform at Disneyland.  She continues her training at Unity as a member of Evolve. This year she will teach alongside Amy Baker.
