Amy Baker (director) Amy Baker, grew up in Junction City, Oregon. The commute to Eugene for dance classes began at age 3. Ballet was not only her love, but also her life. Amy began ballet training at Dance Spectrum with Ms. Dana Hutchins for ten years. She continued her dance training at the Eugene School of Ballet. During this time, she had the opportunity to tour with the Eugene Ballet Company’s “Nutcracker” in both 1995 and 1996. At 16, she began dancing with On Your Toes School of Dance and became a company member of “Zreliak Artistic Performing Productions” (ZAPP) for 5 years. ZAPP toured all over the U.S. and abroad. During this time she returned to school to pursue a minor in dance at the U of O and transferred to LCC to receive a 2 term full dance scholarship. Amy taught Ballet II, Ballet/Jazz, Elementary Hip Hop, and High School Hip Hop at Hosanna Dance for several years. In 2007, God spoke to her heart and called her back home to Junction City to begin her own dance studio. In September 2007, the “Junction City School of Dance” was established. Amy and her husband, Lee, have two beautiful daughters, Bella and Baylee.
