James Felix (instructor): Hello, my name is James. I have been dancing my entire life. Michael Jackson was a huge inspiration to me as a child and I would teach my siblings and friends dances from music videos. This love of dance continued through middle and high school. In my mid-twenties, I formed a group of dancers called The Lane County Poppers. We opened for many multi-platinum hip hop artists as well as performing with local dance schools at fairs and music venues. I enjoy entertaining and have continued to dance and use this form of art to help and inspire others. The style of dance that has taken my heart is Popping, which is driven mostly from robotic movements as well as fluid motion. Our Most High has blessed me with these talents, and I believe He’s called me to mentor youth through dance.
