I began dancing when I was 4 years old at On Your Toes School of Dance in Eugene, taking classes in ballet, tap, and hip hop. My journey at JCSD began during the 2009/2010 season when Brooke Rush invited me to the Bring A Friend to Class week in her Ballet 1 class. The staff at JCSD had created such a wonderful atmosphere that allowed me to feel a genuine love for dance, I left that class filled with joy and love. I enrolled in that class right away, staying with JCSD ever since. While at JCSD I have taken classes in modern, ballet, pointe, and jazz. I have also been apart of REACH since it began in 2016.
I have spent six years as an apprentice here at JCSD. Being an apprentice has had such a positive influence on who am I as a person. Apprenticing taught me courage and leadership that I believe influences me both in and out of the studio. I’m looking forward to getting to teach and work alongside this wonderful staff and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for this year!
